It seems my laptop is a beast with the games I can play but didnt think I would be able to. Even if i need to set a few things a little lower. I have no doubt i will be able to run this. And my rig is strong enough to play Cyberpunk 2077 on high to ultra settings. I was thinking about getting the other dlcs if I like the game enough. I got 4 free dlcs with Ark and im at 228gb. With save games and some light mods i'm at ~340GB myself atm, but if you have a decent rig and can deal with slightly longer loading times, you don't need it on a SSD either so mine is on a old NAS disk. No worries, and yes its big, all DLC (payed and free) clocks in at about 300GB atm. Originally posted by psychocatyoutube:Alrighty then! Thanks for the help! And idk if the dlc automatically downloads or what. It did a 30 something gigabyte and now a 13gb. Thus skipping the entire character creation, that you would normaly get, in the rare cases where this does not happen there is however still a download button i believe (though i havn't seen that happen in a long time). On the new map, the first thing you get is the download menu, then the spawn selection after you selected a character (yes you can store multiples). On the map you uploaded from, you simply press 'esc' a couple of times to exit to the main menu. As soon as you things are uploaded, and you upload the character, you will be presented with a download menu. Yes you have to travel to the Obelisk though, but you will notice them once you start playing. XDīut all I need to do is basically upload my stuff to the Obelisk, load up, let's say, the Ragnarok map, spawn in there, even if it's my first time being there, find that map's Obelisk and get the other stuff stored in there?Īnd how do I download my uploaded character? Im guessing it's an option when you select a map or something? I say you covered it quite well! I particularly looked at the cluster section since i have a private cluster, pretty spot on! I think that covers it all, might have missed something though, its late and im watching my dinos do there breeding thing ಠ_ಠ Also the benefit of servers, is that you can upload/download at supply drops as well, so in case of PvE or PvP where areas are blocked you can still move around. On MP you have this thing called clusters, that allow you to travel between servers with another map, you can then keep your gear equip and even transfer with stuff in your inventory. That is how it works in singleplayer, now multiplayer is a bit different. Once your character is downloaded, you get the normal spawn map, and can spawn any where you like, incl beds that you have placed on the map. Originally posted by Lordbufu:Each map has locations (usually called obelisk) that allow you to upload your character (without gear and inventory) and items/dinos in a separate tab, once uploaded you can exit the map load the new map and download your character to then travel to a obelisk and collect the rest.
